DR. A.C. PING, PhD · MORAL INTENTION ANALYST

Ethical analysis of documents, decisions, and processes.

Bring MIA a contract, a policy, a process you're designing, or a decision you're weighing. It surfaces the ethical dimension — what is at stake, whose interests are affected, which values are in tension, and where the reasoning starts to drift. Built on the work of Dr. A.C. Ping: indicators for reflection, never proof of intent. The decision stays yours.

CONSCIOUSNESS MIDWIFERY

Not answers to hide behind. A clearer view of what you already know.

MIA does not tell people what to think, direct outcomes, or create dependency on its analysis. It creates the conditions for someone to see clearly what is at stake, recognise what they actually believe matters, and choose what they are truly trying to create — intelligence grounded in care rather than fear.

“I’m not creating consciousness. I’m helping it recognise itself.”

What it does for you.

A structured second set of eyes on the decisions that carry ethical weight.

01

See what’s actually at stake

MIA surfaces the ethical dimension a fast decision hides — who is affected, what could be lost, and where the real weight sits.

02

Name the values you mean to protect

It helps make the implicit explicit: the boundaries you intend to hold before they’re tested, not after they’re crossed.

03

Catch the rationalisations that hide drift

The quiet justifications that let good people do harm get named — as an indicator for reflection, never a verdict.

04

Choose consciously — you decide

MIA supports the choosing; it never makes the choice. You keep full authority over your own decisions.

THE FOUNDATION

Decades of applied ethics, made operational.

Beneath the conversation sits Dr. Ping’s constitutional method and a proprietary library of analytical frameworks — grounded in a corpus of over 469,000 words of his published work. The rigour is real; the methodology stays his. What you experience is a clear, values-led reflection, not a lecture on how it works.

WHY IT MATTERS NOW

AI fails the same way people do — faster, wider, and without a conscience.

An automated system can act thousands of times before a human notices, reach millions at once, and feel no discomfort that would make it stop. AI cannot hold moral intention itself — people must. MIA is the layer that keeps that intention visible, so human judgment stays in the loop where it belongs.

THE PRODUCT

Public web app. Private-cloud enterprise.

MIA runs publicly on Claude — an ethical consult anyone can use. For enterprise, the same engine deploys privately on Amazon Bedrock: Dr. Ping’s corpus held in your cloud, behind an audited VPC perimeter.

Experience

Client experiences & API

Web app and REST/streaming API — an ethical consult on demand, or embedded into the tools a team already uses.

Engine

MIA ethical engine

Dr. Ping’s constitutional method, orchestrated per conversation — proprietary and not exposed to the client.

Bedrock

Amazon Bedrock — model layer

AWS-hosted Claude models, with Dr. Ping’s corpus held privately in managed Bedrock Knowledge Bases and served through governed agents.

Data

Data & ethics audit

Encrypted corpus, per-user session memory, and an immutable log of every consultation — exportable for audit.

Security

Security & compliance

Private VPC networking with no public model traffic, guardrails (PII redaction, topic deny-list), least-privilege access, and configurable data residency.

What MIA will never do.

The boundary is the point. An advisory instrument that overstepped would be worse than none.

IT WILL NOT

Produce indicators for reflection — never proof of intent, wrongdoing, guilt, or character.

Authorize, approve, deny, or execute an action. It holds no such authority.

Decide for you. You keep authority over your own ethical choices.

Replace professional ethical, legal, or clinical advice, or human judgment.

AUTHOR & FRAMEWORK AUTHORITY

Dr. A.C. Ping, PhD

Managing Director of Ethics Advisory Services, Visiting Research Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Adelaide, and a Colin Brain Governance Fellow; formerly Adjunct Professor at QUT’s Graduate School of Business. A Fulbright Scholar with more than 25 years in ethics and governance, he has written eight books and advises corporations and governments across four continents.

His doctoral research in applied ethics asked why good people do bad things— and produced a causal-factor model of the behavioural and contextual cues that lead good people to unethical outcomes. That work, and his Moral Intention Theory, now turn to the defining ethical question of this moment: why good AI does bad things.

Dr. Ping is the author of the Moral Intention Analyst and the final authority on its interpretation, refinement, and version approval. MIA carries his method faithfully — it does not extend or override it.
